Mix cooled grits with bacon, cheese, eggs, garlic powder, and paprika.
Season with salt and pepper.
Form mixture into 8 patties about 1/2-inch thick.
Lightly coat each patty with flour.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry grits cakes 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve hot topped with sour cream and sliced green onions.
