Ingredients
Shop the tools- 4-5 lb pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 2 cups BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 12 hamburger buns
- Coleslaw for serving
Instructions
Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
Rub spice mixture all over pork shoulder.
Place in slow cooker and cook on low 8-10 hours until very tender.
Remove pork and shred with two forks, discarding excess fat.
Mix BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar.
Return shredded pork to slow cooker, add BBQ sauce mixture.
Cook on low 30 more minutes.
Serve on toasted buns topped with coleslaw.
