Ingredients

Shop the tools
  • 2 lbs raw peanuts in shell
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (optional)

Instructions

Rinse peanuts thoroughly.

Place peanuts in large pot with water and salt.

Add Cajun seasoning if using.

Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 4-6 hours.

Check for doneness - peanuts should be soft.

Drain and serve warm or at room temperature.
