Ingredients

Shop the tools
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

2

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

3

Form into a loaf shape and place in a baking dish.

4

Bake 45 minutes.

5

Mix brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, and mustard for glaze.

6

Remove meatloaf from oven, spread glaze on top.

7

Return to oven and bake 15 more minutes.

8

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

9

Serve with extra glaze on the side.

Chef's Comfy Tip

Mix the meat mixture gently - overworking it makes for a dense, tough meatloaf instead of a tender one.
