Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
Mix melted butter, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
Add flour, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
Stir in pecans and pour into prepared pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes until set.
Immediately top hot cake with marshmallows and return to oven for 2 minutes.
For frosting, beat butter, cocoa, and milk together.
Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beat until smooth.
Spread frosting over marshmallow layer while cake is still warm.
Let cool completely before cutting.
