Ingredients
Shop- 6 large Vidalia onions, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup buttery crackers, crushed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Sauté onions in 4 tablespoons butter until softened, about 10 minutes.
Mix soup, sour cream, 1 cup cheese, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
Stir in cooked onions and spread in prepared dish.
Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over top.
Bake 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Chef's Comfy Tip
Vidalia onions are naturally sweet, but regular yellow onions will work in a pinch - add a pinch of sugar.
