Ingredients
Shop the tools- 2 lbs round steak, cut into serving pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
Pound steak pieces to 1/4-inch thickness.
Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Dredge steak in seasoned flour.
Heat oil in large skillet and brown steak on both sides. Remove.
Add onion to skillet and cook until softened.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of remaining flour over onions, stir well.
Add broth, Worcestershire, and garlic. Bring to simmer.
Return steak to skillet, cover, and simmer 1-1.5 hours until very tender.
Serve with gravy spooned over top.
