Ingredients

Shop the tools
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 jar (4 oz) diced pimentos, drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping

Instructions

Mix cheddar, cream cheese, mayo, pimentos, and cayenne for pimento cheese.

Divide ground beef into 4 portions and form into patties.

Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Grill or pan-fry burgers over medium-high heat 4-5 minutes per side for medium.

During last minute of cooking, top each burger with generous amount of pimento cheese.

Cover to melt cheese.

Serve on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
