Ingredients

Shop
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, half the onion, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.

Form into 6 oval patties.

Brown patties in a large skillet, 3-4 minutes per side. Remove.

Add butter and remaining onion to skillet, cook until soft.

Add mushrooms and cook until golden, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir 1 minute.

Add broth and tomato paste, stirring until smooth.

Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.

Garnish with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes.
