Ingredients
Shop- 4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons flour mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
Season pork chops generously with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown pork chops 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
Add onions to skillet and cook until golden, about 8 minutes.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
Pour in broth, Worcestershire, thyme, and bay leaves. Bring to simmer.
Return pork chops to skillet, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Simmer gravy 2-3 minutes, remove bay leaves, and pour over pork chops.
