Ingredients
Shop- 6 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh thyme
Instructions
Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
Dredge pork chops in seasoned flour.
Heat oil in a large skillet and brown chops 3-4 minutes per side. Remove.
Add onions to skillet and cook until softened and golden, about 8 minutes.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the seasoned flour over onions, stir well.
Gradually add broth and milk, stirring constantly.
Add Worcestershire and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
Return pork chops to skillet, cover, and simmer 25-30 minutes until tender.
Chef's Comfy Tip
Don't rush the onions - cooking them slowly until they're golden and sweet makes all the difference in the gravy's flavor.
